Use thin (max 100gsm), semi-gloss, sticker photo paper. 

Print on high-quality settings, and select “photo paper” on the printer settings. That way, the printer will optimize the ink mixture to photo paper.

For optimal results, use a printer wihch uses black dye ink, and not black pigment ink. The latter is not compatible with photo paper, which means the printer will do a mixture of colors to do black This will result in poor quality and leaves a purple-ish tone after a while.
